    Time Stands Still
    One more step and half way there.
    Sitting in a chair brought further away from there.
    Thoughts stand still curing all ill.
    Walking for the first time brought you there.

    A walk outside and time stands still.
    A walk outside, a breath of fresh air.
    A walk outside time to escape.
    A walk outside and time stands still.

    Yesterday already history.
    A book on war not far in the past.
    A look at time and nothing stands still.
    A waste of faith to chase the past.

    A book on war, not far in the past.
    A book on war, thought it was the last.
    A book on war, the truth of them.
    A book on war not far in the past.

    I've now read three of the authors work and I feel he is a wonderful lyricist. Some of his lines remind of Sam Cooke. The section where all the lines begin with, "A walk outside..." sets in contrast to the section before it and after it. I'll wait while you read them......See what I mean. Writing in this style is very difficult and the authors that do it well make it seem effortless and this is revealed in this authors work. Here the wording and cadence is so natural it is almost as if these fresh, new words already lived on your tongue and this author unlocked them with his magic.

    Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
