    I Don't Need To Pay

Well I/ met you in/ the weirdest place.
I looked you/ up and down/ we met at the face.
You took me/ to your room/ that's why I say...

    You're my girl now/ I don't need to pay.
Let's fool around/ the good ol' way.
Your my girl now/ I don't need to pay.

    10 years later/ I've seen/ where I've been.
I'd do it all over/ I'd do it/ once again.
There's something/ 'bout you/ that stuck with me

    You're my girl now/ I don't need to pay.
Let's fool around/ the good ol' way.
Your my girl now/ I don't need to pay.

    There's something/ 'bout the world/ today.
It makes me/ think about/ what you say.
    I'm going/ back to/ my ol' ways.

    You're my girl now/ I don't need to pay.
Let's fool around/ the good ol' way.
Your my girl now/ I don't need to pay.

There is something oddly refreshing about this work. It appears to be lyrics so I searched for music that it would fit too. I listened to some Reggae, "Wonderful World Beautiful People", by Jimmy Cliff seemed to work well enough. This story telling left me wanting to know more about these two, but in my thinking, I think it is wise that the author left this up to me to fill in the empty spaces. Well done

I like the originality nice poem.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
