Through Indian eyes.....
See him on a hill, surveying the world he used to know. See him standing there, with no home of his own to go. See the pain in his eyes, searching for questions to why. See all of his suffering, through Indian eyes.
See the places he has been, that are no more. See the home he knew, destroyed by hatred and war. See the tears fall from his check, as the smoke rises into the sky. See all of this, through Indian eyes.
See him told what he believes is a sin, see the buffalo he once hunted, never to come back again. See him being told he is a savage, for living his way of life. See him asking for help, from Grandfather on high. See the world he once knew, through Indian eyes.
See him being told he has to leave the land his ancestors have lived on for years, See everything coming true, all his fears. See him being made to put down bow and spear, see his race, slowly disappear. See him falling to his knees, through Indian eyes.
See him passing the trails he used to hunt on, never to hunt there no more. See the woods he walked in, for him to no longer explore. See him being drove out, by people he once did trust. See him being treated in a way most unjust. See this new world, through Indian eyes.
See him carrying his wife and child, see the solders yelling words at him that are reviled. See him trying to stay strong, See the road he has been made to walk, hard and long. See him leaving the place he once belonged. See it his way, through Indian eyes.
See it his way, so you might under stand what goes on, behind Indian eyes.
See the places he has been, that are no more. See the home he knew, destroyed by hatred and war. See the tears fall from his check, as the smoke rises into the sky. See all of this, through Indian eyes.
