If I could only dream one dream, when I shut my weary eyes, to rest my head for slumber, that dream would be of you.

To rest in comfortable visions, of the love we had that was so true.

To revisit those times, played back like a projector on the movie screens that becomes the back of my eyes, to feel that love again, that soared higher then the skies.

To live again, in sweet memory, of how things used to be.

To feel your touch and once again become, the man you used to see.

My pillow would become a time machine, to travel back to the time you once wore my ring.

To lay with you again, if only in my mind. To feel you next to me, your body next to mine.

My rest would be peaceful and any dream of you, would be most beautiful.

My REM's would beat to the rhythm of my heart. To dream sweet dreams of the days, we weren't apart.

The only thing of these visions of you, that wouldn't be fair. Is the nightmare of waking up, and not having you here.
