    The Rose

    I keep loving again.
    Hearts collapse, bursts like the
    Big bombs of destroyed
    Countries...
    Memories of sickening roses,
Rotting petals and stinging bees do
    Not convince me against
    The pain. The years
And cold nights live deep in
    The tears across my face.
    They redden my eyes, yet
    I keep on loving,
    Because I live to love.

Overall, I like it. You've made a powerful comment on hope and risk in love. It's hard to write a new poem on love because it is so often written about but you've managed to say something a bit new. I must say I think that lines 2-3 are the weakest. First of all, grammatically it should be 'Hearts collapse, burst like the' not 'bursts' and I have a hard time transitioning between 'big bombs'/'destroyed countries' and 'sickening roses.' Good work, though!

Poetry comes nearer to vital truth than history.
