    Please Trust Me

    My Lord,
    Why are you
    So blind?
    I really love you
    And don't know why
You say my love is undeserved
    I believe otherwise
I feel things could really last
    If we try
    You say you're unspecial
    But to me
You are everything in this world
    You have a good heart
    And good soul
    If anyone is undeserved
    It is I
I have been hurt time and time again
This will only add to the record
I am boring because I block
My life to the world and trust no one
Yet, I trust you so easily
    For some anonymous reason
We have so much in common as if twins
And yet you love someone else
    And only feed me lies
    Lies and more lies.
You do not like me as much as you claim
    You only like the sex
    You say I am almost
    Your best lay
    Yet, all I have done
Is la there and hurt you
I know you do not feel the same
    For me,
But I believe you're my soul mate
And I would really like to know
What you are thinking and feeling
To be quite honest, I am somewhat
    Jealous of Lisette
Not because you like her more than I,
But because she is a challenge
And the more a girl make a guy
Wait, the more he wants her.
I, on the other hand, did not wait and
You have grown distant from me
Because I let my hormones talk
Rather than my heart and brain
And when I did let my heart speak
You shut it out and run.
If you do not feel the same
For me, That is quite all right,
    But please open your mind
And heart to me And tell me
    What you are feeling.
I am not here to judge you
Or laugh at you, But to show interest
And admiration for your willingness To trust
me with Your secrets and desires.
    Please trust me.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
