My Lord
My dear Lord,
how are you?
My dear Lord,
where are you?
You are as sweet
as honey can be.
You're as charming
as any character can cherish.
You are as strong
as a priestly kindred.
Yet, you know when
to step up to vile approachers.
You are, my Lord,
perfect as any mortal can be.
Yet, you are still an apparition
to my substantial being.
I long for your tender caress
of the heart, body, and soul.
You have, already, my heart
in your eyes, but not in your mind and body.
My lord, I know you only
by the sorrowful stars in the night sky.
When my eyes
face their tears,
I think of you.
When I slumber peacefully
in my dark lonely bed,
I dream of you.
When I sit alone
listening to music
in my small room,
I long for you.
My Lord, I love you
but only in heart and spirit.
For when I die,
my spirit is always with you.
My Lord, I dream of you
night and day.
I dream of your voice,
your laughter, your love.
I cannot help
but beseech you, my Lord.
I promised myself never to
forever love again, But my heart
failed me once more.
My heart, body, and soul
will always be with you in life.
Whether you wish them to be
or perhaps not.
I love you, my Lord,
always and forever.
Amen.
