The Quiet Man (my ex brother in law Duane)

    You saw the inner me,
You stood by me and let them see.
No matter what your family thought or did,
You never disquised your respect or kept it hid.

You are a man among men,
My daughters uncle and my brother to the end.
    Although our blood isnt mixed,
Forever our bond is always fixed.

To see you sick and in pain,
Causes me to feel an incredible strain.
I hold back the tears and focus on the young man,
That I knew and remember God has a plan.

You would make an incredible asset to heaven,
The humble honest man, in triplicate and times seven.
Quietly you made your imprint on the heart,
of the people you touched with the love from the start.

You never imposed, but were always there.
To have a quick smile and an easy care.
The peace you gave, may you get in return.
All of us love you and have concern.

Know all you have to do is ask,
To serve you anything is an honor not a task.
Im drowning in a pool of tears...
When the time comes, go with peace and lose your fears.

Set the example you always have set.
A man among men, and never forget.
The love we have for you exceeds diminsion and space,
I will always and forever remember your face.

Thanks for the comment. I loved my brother in law so much. Your poems are very indepth and make me think. I love anything that does that.

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
