    Poem Commentary

It took me a long time to decide on whether to post this poem.  But, I decided it might help someone else not feel so alone.  We cant be ashamed of what someone else did.  Thanks for reading it.

    Rape

In my mind I hide and wait,
wondering why this was my fate.
I feel nothing, its cold in here.
    I see darkness very clear.

    Let it happen, dont hesitate,
Hope its done before its too late.
    Silent, escaping, thoughts run free.
I look at her the very likes of me.

He can have her, shes nothing to me,
Just a front,  me he cannot see.
The best of me is not within his range,
Shes an escape and its all very strange.

I didnt take very good care of her,
Now she lays and has to let this occur.
I let him in and she pays the price,
His wicked ways and I was enticed.

    I will lose her later,
    Be glad God made her,
    Many facets and faces,
    Many times and many places.

All for the love of the hater.

Different way of expressing pain I like the flow of this poem so much darkness and sad descriptions of an un ruley nightmare.

wow great poem it is full of so much emotion sadness and yet pride i love it

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
