    Freedom of a Listen

Who set the rules on the music I should like?
Why can I not like what I like and haters not hate?
I can listen to McCartney and still groove on Ike.
I want to hear Lil Wayne spit out more than you can fit on a plate.

Multi cultural and open minded, why not?
Ying Yangs, John Mayer, Kanye, Cold Play,
They all got something to say, do they not?
Lyrics are like intricate pieces of clay.

Forget about genres and listen to the rhymes,
The meanings of the words and the flow.
Forget the world and listen to it at stressful times.
Let your mind open and grow.

Not such a thing as good or bad only choice,
We all have preference, and deserve the right,
To choose what we listen to when we rejoice.
Just feel what moves you and sounds tight.

    Forget what others say,
Listen to your music and enjoy your day!
