Release
I protected her, involved her in a world of empathy,
Always giving love and sympathy.
I locked her away completely, without letting her out.
Protected her without a doubt.
She had nobody to lean on, had nobody near
could she face it, her deepest fear,
But, how could she get any closure.
Without living life and getting exposure.
I locked her away her protector and made her free.
I shoved her out to live, the mediator me.
I shook off the loneliness and darkness,
To protect her any more would have been heartless
Im standing at the crossroads and looking both ways,
Thinking of where I want to spend my days,
Sharing the special person I protected,
She deserves the best and needs to feel connected.
There is a warm glowing light that shines,
Amber and the most divine.
I bask in the warmth of the wines,
Lean in closer almost intertwined.
I went through the motions in my mind,
I feel his presence and know his kind-
Ness that envelopes my body and soul,
A friendship that will never grow old.
More I asked, but the answers evasive,
Time to be patient and enjoy and be persuasive,
Let him see the all best in me.
Let him see I could set his heart free…
