THE POTTER MOLDED THE CLAY
A beautiful couple met in their youth
God looked down and joined the two
As the years went on and the days swept by
They were blessed with a fine family…
Then one day God passed by He knew these two
Could stand each trial
He picked them up out of the miry clay
And would soon mold them in His own way…
In a small voice these words he heard
My dear child I need you so
Come let us talk than you will know
My plans for you I made long ago
To labor in my vineyard to help some soul…
I know your heart, I know your thoughts
I know you worry about this all
Fear not my child your not alone
I’ll always be with you when everyone else is gone
Because you see, you’re a part of me…
He’s humbling kneeling, head bending low
Crying father please lift my load
Many a night upon his bed, tears of joy and sorrow he shed
He prays and weeps, while everyone else sleeps…
When dawn begins to peek through
All is gone and everything is new
Now so humble, he looks up and sees,
So onward he goes to sow the seed…
Unto God’s will he surrendered all
So humble, be became as a little child
The Potter molded the clay, he now walks in God’s perfect way…
Once again the soft voice he hears
I’ve a little flock that needs a Pastor so dear
I picked you from all the rest
Because I knew you would be the best…
I know the way seems rough and long, do not worry my child
I’ll always be along, never fear, because I’ll always be near…
Souls for his labor he has seen, as God looked down and intervened
Always in his Father’s will helping someone to bring them cheer…
Now he stands so brave and tall, his light is shining for us all
The perfect light shines so bright, God is filled with pure delight…
The little flock he now over sees, he knows each ones personality
He loves and cares and prays for all
Trusting in God until the day He calls…
