A BLESSING

A BLESSING

Soon time will be no more
When we meet across the shore
What a joy there awaits
When we see Jesus at the gate…

Hand in hand we will stroll
Down the streets of pure gold
No more thinking of the past
All forgotten we’re home at last…

What a blessing that will be
When we see Jesus and our love ones too
All is love, joy and peace
What a reunion that will be…

In heaven no more worry
Never have to be in a hurry
Can take all the time we need
For there we’ll spend eternity…

Hi Lois, I came to your poems because of a comment you had written on Clementines site, where you stated that we are saved by grace and not by works. This is so very true, yet we see a lot under that canopy of Christianity that insist upon good works for salvation. While good behavior is always better then bad we are merely sinners saved by the unmerited love and favor of God which is by definition Grace! I enjoyed this poem very much. Heaven is so much more then we can ever imagine and the thought of eternity together boggles the human, finite mind and yet Heaven awaits to all that have their faith and trust int the true and living God. Great write! I will be reading more of your poetry!

Hi Ramblingrose, thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Yes, won't it be wonderful there, when all us Christians meet on on heaven's bright shore...First of all I want to see Jesus the one who died for us and shed His precious blood so we could spend eternity with Him and all of our loved ones....Many bessings dear one, now and always....Keep up the good work in the vineyard of our Lord...What a mighty God we serve, He is so good to us, all the time....With God's Love, Lois J.
