THE BEGINNING OF A NEW DAY
Lord, as we view the beginning of this new day
We feel the need to kneel and pray
Than we look towards the eastern sky
To watch the sun as it comes up so bright
It lifts our spirits and makes us glad
Even when we feel so sad
You pick us up and dry our tears
And take away all our fears…
Think not of the past, but press on to the goal that last
We can’t understand things of this life
But our Lord knows what’s best, beyond this world of strife
Sorrow not, for those who are gone
Because we’ll meet again, on that resurrection morn…
