    "You"

    I gaze into the sky,
    dazed and so confused,
    thinking and remembering,
    perfect thoughts of you.

I long to greet the morning,
of the day we meet again,
for in my mind I see your face,
against my hands - your skin.

So beautiful you are to me,
    a bright and distant star,
a mortal angel sent to me,
    from some lovely place afar.

My vision of beauty, my perfect soulmate, love of my life, forever I'd wait.

"A mortal angel sent to me" has a nice ring to it. I like your rhyming scheme here, but I wish you had elaborated just a little bit more on the "qualities" of said, "You."

A sprinkle of pain in the lap of memory, luxury to be maintained until it is regained.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
