    Precious

Communication lies with the foundation of love

    Beneath the waves

    I can hear you,

    With desperation and pride

    Over and over again,

    I love you!

That was a statement I couldn't put pass you

Even when I was doubting you.

Or at the least when I was doubting us.

    You show me love,

Not only through the gentleness of touch

    with the desires of meaning.

If you try to take that away from me

    I'm not me.

I'm a little girl standing on my dad's sidewalk,

    Alone with myself.

A little girl standing at the bus stop,

    Anxious.

    Alone with myself.

    A little girl asking,

    "Why?"

    Alone with myself.

    I am me with you

    I'm myself even though.

With you, I am a woman

    Walking in the city

Wanting and yearning for the qualification of respect

    You show me nothing less.

I'm a flower fully bloomed in late May

Fertile and uncorrupted, aspiring for nothing.

    You're my companion beside me

    Giving up

    Everything for me

    Everything.

When I shall bleed for the sun

    You bleed with me.

And give up one to many petals

    To replace my own.

    I am precious

    You always told me that.

    With you,

    I am in love.

    With love,

    Always!
