Blank

Non-pictures of distant memories
Vague images of years gone by,
Scripted of writing on paper within time.

For I am stronger then
the little girl I once was.

Words I cannot take back
But only hold with me.

Confused
Entangled
Like a renamed sentence,
Read unclear.

But purposely complex
My life knew.

That my blank page
Is now written upon.

I really don't think that the first 3 lines are needed for this poem's intent. They are just flowery words which the poem ends up restating anyway. A very power little poem about life's mark being made upon us as we live it. That's a fantastic statement that begins with: (I am stronger then the little girl I once was.) and then ends with: (That my blank page Is now written upon.) what more does the poem really need? A very poignant work. I love it. A poet friend// RH Peat

Thank you for your comment. Also, relooking at it I kind of agree with you in regards to the first 3 lines. Thanks again.... :-)

Mar/ it is a dynamite little poem that says a lot about just living life. And taking what it offers as you go. I love it. Thanx for sharing it. It says: get through the trauma and find the laughter in the cherished moment. A poet friend// RH Peat

Beautiful and full of poetry - I admire the way this flows and takes the reader along the growth process... never losing it's innocence. 10 Soul

Comparing who you are now, to who you were then, is a strange process. Sometimes you can't even reconcile how the one became the other. You've conveyed the feeling well.
