    Outta You

you call me up with such a rivers moan
erase the glittered polish off my nails alone
doll me up in the black brush- that changes white to night
we dance with the devil- until the red is white

" i never was born w/ good intensions-
always looking for the easy way out
walking with my eyes closed- just so the world could tear me apart
raised on pain - anger- and hopelessness as my ambition
n u could put anything ud promise -to take me away in a bag
and id bury it in my heart"

you call me up 1 day with your gin- n- tonic breath
    and stolen cologne
i bet you thought i did take a deep breath- smile
and see the clean sun under the violent malty sky alone

    "repeat"

good thing for newark- as far away as i could get from u
did u ever think it was me who needed a shot in my arms
    outta you- outta u

Good to see you back on the stick, litldeer. We all get obstacles put in our way, its how we get around them that counts. “Outta You” is a harrowing description of a woman who has previously allowed herself to be limited by history and circumstances finally deciding to draw a line and use it as a starting point rather than an ending. Sounds like somebody you know? Ha ha, great stuff. Welcome back!

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
