Dragging myself through the day, crying

All through the night. Every time someone

Is close, I fight back the tears that try so

Hard to fall. Needing someone to share to

Talk to. The need of someone to give me

Support and encouraging words to pull me

Through.

Putting a smile on my face, just to make

Everyone think that I’m ok, but only to

Hide the tears that are falling deep inside.

No one ever seeing the pain that hides

Beneath my skin.  Only if everyone could

Really see what is trying to get out.

Soon another day will shine, more fake

Smiles will show for all to see. More tears

Will fall inside, continuing to fight there

Way out, but only to stay locked up away

From everyone. Most of all another day, to

See if anyone will ever see try to help with

The pain that no one can see.
