Poem Commentary

The moon , the one i love

Oh my lovely moon

I spend many a night staring into the heavens,
Searching for something to ease the pains I feel.
I cry out to the moon for salvation,
I beg her to take me away.
Let me leave this world behind.
Here there is no way to treat the wounds upon my soul,
Here my hands are stained black with blood no water can wash away.
A thousand lifetimes I feel I have cried for your return,
Please do not forget me for another thousand.
Take me away,
Name the price and I shall pay it.
My soul is yours already,
My heart beats only for you my lovely moon,
My mind has been lost since i first saw you,
Please leave me in this hell no longer.
Mend these broken wings and let me join you,
And together we shall rule the night,
Leaving the world and her burdens far behind us.
Forsaken and bound in sin I await your salvation,
Oh my lovely moon,
Save me and forget me no longer.

i am glad you like it shadow, and i often have that problem my self=)

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.

John F. Kennedy (1917-1963) Thirty-fifth President of the USA
