NO ONE ELSE:
poised for the perfect seduction
my words smile
knowing they are
worth waiting for
slowly falling off one shoulder
then the other
stray consonants caress bare skin
vowels sway in fondled shadows
illicit redundancies have their way
with superfluous syllables
having no rhetorical purpose
whatsoever
unless of course you consider
temptation
which is always there between the lines
allow your pulse to surrender
as a passionate participle spices your
desire
savor the taste of bliss
tiptoe on the velvety tantalizing terrain
join me on this canvas
of complicity
where the words belong only
to the eyes reading them
and no one else matters
my words smile
knowing they are
worth waiting for
slowly falling off one shoulder
then the other
stray consonants caress bare skin
vowels sway in fondled shadows
illicit redundancies have their way
with superfluous syllables
having no rhetorical purpose
whatsoever
unless of course you consider
temptation
which is always there between the lines
allow your pulse to surrender
as a passionate participle spices your
desire
savor the taste of bliss
tiptoe on the velvety tantalizing terrain
join me on this canvas
of complicity
where the words belong only
to the eyes reading them
and no one else matters
