Lust
lust will fill and overflow like seeds in flight
the wind will carry you
and no storm or dark light
will ever shadow brighter
the eagles all migrate to the headwaters
but intensity is divided in the middle of the night
as wings of fire splash and succumb
into fountains of love pouring from above
angelic voices calling soldiers home
dropping like roses past their fullest bloom
parades of unfortunate starry-eyed youths
all singing together beneath the blessing of the moon
entwined in souls as small as raccoons
deep in the delta and as wide as lagoons
dwelling and delving and tunnelling and funnelling
breathing in the spores of effortless summoning
jackdaws and cyclones circling
pulling trees by the roots
and branching into memories
of impossible pursuits
bodies burgeoning, turgid and aware
spouting romantic folly into the still night air
passing each other and barely aware
that to touch skin is sublime but to be touched is rare
overtly discrete and welling beneath our feet
like a wave that never breaks but climbs over the shore
relentlessly threading and impossible to ignore
curling our toes, we can't help but explore
all nations on time for the end of the world
ejaculating into caverns of the void, we swarm
over ruins and rampant with blood in our eyes
as animals we clash and as humans we die
the wind will carry you
and no storm or dark light
will ever shadow brighter
the eagles all migrate to the headwaters
but intensity is divided in the middle of the night
as wings of fire splash and succumb
into fountains of love pouring from above
angelic voices calling soldiers home
dropping like roses past their fullest bloom
parades of unfortunate starry-eyed youths
all singing together beneath the blessing of the moon
entwined in souls as small as raccoons
deep in the delta and as wide as lagoons
dwelling and delving and tunnelling and funnelling
breathing in the spores of effortless summoning
jackdaws and cyclones circling
pulling trees by the roots
and branching into memories
of impossible pursuits
bodies burgeoning, turgid and aware
spouting romantic folly into the still night air
passing each other and barely aware
that to touch skin is sublime but to be touched is rare
overtly discrete and welling beneath our feet
like a wave that never breaks but climbs over the shore
