Bleak
the bleakest part of me
a revenant
a ghost leftover
with no will
losing the strength
to fake this anymore
even though
I'm dead inside
my skin refuses to darken
my soul will never blacken
sand I cant wash away
water I can't drown in
keep breathing
there is no oxygen
people i meet
are so fake
play to the world
like actors on a stage
nothing inside me left to care about
just a shell I'm tired of wearing
and want to live without
leave this mortal coil
shimmer like silver
captured in water and oil
a rainbow of poison
I want to swallow
trapped in a past
that I cant alter
escape the dreams
of the people that haunt me
these words are nothing
but memories and pages
the last act of someone
dying in stages
when moon meets sea
when earth embraces night
I'm last man on earth
still willing to fight
still trying to see
even though you have all left me
to die and to decay
to fall in a hole
and decide to stay
a revenant
a ghost leftover
with no will
losing the strength
to fake this anymore
even though
I'm dead inside
my skin refuses to darken
my soul will never blacken
sand I cant wash away
water I can't drown in
keep breathing
there is no oxygen
people i meet
are so fake
play to the world
like actors on a stage
nothing inside me left to care about
just a shell I'm tired of wearing
and want to live without
leave this mortal coil
shimmer like silver
captured in water and oil
a rainbow of poison
I want to swallow
trapped in a past
that I cant alter
escape the dreams
of the people that haunt me
these words are nothing
but memories and pages
the last act of someone
dying in stages
when moon meets sea
when earth embraces night
I'm last man on earth
still willing to fight
still trying to see
even though you have all left me
to die and to decay
to fall in a hole
and decide to stay
