Life Is Pain
Life Is Pain
Life is pain
Love is life
Equal measures
Of joy and strife.
Time is eternal
Satan rules
Many people
Are jaded fools.
Touched by heartache
Pain and anguish
Written in betrayal’s
Hurtful language.
Learned response
From being mistreated
Issued pain
When joy was needed.
Now no trust
No “Golden Rule”
Its do them first
Before they do you.
Anger lingers
Love is gone
What once was right
Replaced by wrong.
Light once shined
Darkness grows.
Depressions tide
It ebbs and flows.
Shackles fastened
Cuffs and chains
One named Sadness
The other, Pain.
Life’s the sentence
The world, my cell
Imprisoned in
This living hell.
These bonds won’t break
Please set me free?!
I fear I’ll never
Find the key.
