    • No matter how hard I try to let him go, his grasp on my heart is too tight!

    Poem Commentary

Not my best by far......but truly is from my heart.  Hope you enjoy.

    Ironic

I have a man whom I cannot love,
I feel my love he is unworthy of.
I used to love him with all my heart,
Now I feel we'd be better off apart.
I do not know if he'd ever let me go,
    One day I will try....this I know.

Now with that being said....I cannot have the man whom I love,
This is the man that my love he is deserving of.
We were brought together by chance,
And it that meeting found a special romance.
Wishing many times that it was I he had wed,
Yearning to be the one with whom he shares his bed.

Ironic I guess you could say:
I have a man whom I cannot love,
Yet love a man whom I cannot have.

This poem reveals so much frustration from loving passionately with heavy restrains. Love is never meant to be chained to a pillar of salt. The reader can truly appreciate the sensitivity of the piece. At face value, it is heart-breaking. May your heart be freed from all burdens. I've enjoyed the poem. God bless.

AHHH....I always look forward to your comments. They always seem to enlighten me. Thank you

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
