I Wish

  • No matter how hard I try to let him go, his grasp on my heart is too tight!

I Wish

I wish I didn't care
I wish life was fair
I wish I hadn't looked into your eyes of blue
Then maybe today I wouldn't love you.
I wish I'd never kissed your lips so sweet
Then maybe for you my heart wouldn't beat.
I wish I'd never felt your skin on mine
Maybe then I would  be fine.
I wish I had never felt the softness of your touch
Maybe then I wouldn't love you oh so much.

I like it. Short and sweet and to the point. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
