Just So You'll Know
The shivers you send down my spineWhen your lips gently touch mine.
It is an indescribable feeling,
All I know is my heart you are stealing.
The warmth I feel from your touch,
Makes me believe you want me so much.
The way that your body engulfs mine,
Assures me that we will be just fine.
When I am with you I know that you care,
And with you, my heart, I want to share.
But then those times that we're apart,
I'm really not certain how you feel in your heart.
When I look into your captivating brown eyes,
I can see your love and my heart melts inside.
I wish I never had to leave you,
For the times that I do my heart breaks into.
When we're apart I wonder if you think of me at all,
Wanting to talk to you, to hear your voice, if only you would call.
Our time together goes by so fast,
When we're apart I feel as though so many years have passed.
To be in your presence, just to be with you,
Brings joy when you do the things you do.
Then it is time to say goodbye,
We have to go on with our other lives.
If I were a simple-minded girl I might believe,
That in my arms to stay, one day you would be.
Though I love you my head in not in the clouds,
And I know that to others we both are vowed.
As far fetched as you may think, I do believe we are soul-mates,
Only we've been dealt a complicated hand by fate.
Loving you is one thing I'll never regret,
And the times spent with you I shall never forget.
My dream is to wake up in the mornings to see your face,
For only then will I know for certain I have found my place.
