    Poem Commentary

Stand on Gods words and he will never let you down. Remember God put you in position....

    I'm Still Standing

My presence is that of a queen, people either love or hate me it seems
I'm not concerned with what people say, think or do
cause i'm at the top of my game, so improved and so new
    And i'm still standing
Many have tried to break me down as far as I can go
haters hating hard, why i dont know
But i do know that hurt people, hurt people and misery loves company
so I remove myself from negativity, because that's not wehre I choose to be
But the more I improve the harder the haters hate, but that's because there in a defeated state
I serve the Most High so I cant be stopped
He is my fortress and he is my rock
And I'm gonna keep grinding for him until the day I die
Because whenever i'm in distress he hears my precious cries
    Yes I'm still standing
Inspite of all the viscious attacks
the name calling, and people constantly biting out my back
    I'm still standing and that's a fact
If you stop concentrating on others and concentrate on one self
God will show you your own self wealth
He will show you how to use your gifts and talents to share with the world
He will give you supernatural favor and teach you your a pearl
You know why I dont let people knock me off my block or my square
because people are not responsible for me placeing me there
My God put me in position and I am powerful beyond measure
he gave me the strength and the courage to storm any weather
I have learned to praise God before the storms
    After the storms
and in the midst of the storms
And that's why I'm still standing.....

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
