I Give To You
Here's a girl who has lost her way,
No words to write, no words to say.
Astray in life, running amok.
And, thus far, hasn't had much luck.
I wonder through the day to day,
Searching for a place for my head to lay.
Tired, cold and hungry for more.
To keep myself active has become a chore.
I remember a time, not near enough ago,
When I wished that life would begin to slow.
Now that it has, I'd take it back.
It's prosperity and strength in which I lack.
The jagged edges of people's cold stares
Cuts to the bone, but nobody cares.
I dream of a day when I look in the mirror,
And see the clouds part, and my path become clearer.
I give to you, this girl you see.
Handle with care when you help to mold me.
My Savior, my Grace, my driving force,
Show me the way to find my life's course.
