Free
I watched the herd of deerWalk quietly amongst the trees
I envied them as I watched them graciously
They looked so content...and free
Free. It's such a powerful word
Many may take it for granted (maybe)
But not me...not me
I yearn for the fantasy of being free
Free to roam wherever I please
And without restraint
Free to say what I want
And not be blamed
Free to live life carelessly
And still make it through with joy
There's no such thing
At least not for me
I'm a burden of my own life
Trapped by this hollowed body I possess
I could skate through life
As the Wicked man says
Not having any care in the world
But I'm incapable of such a way
Free to feel the way I want
And not feel the judging eyes
Free to do as I please
And not have negative consequences
Free to just be me
With no shame from society
All this I dream of
Even though it's just scratching the surface
A dream so beautiful and not tainted
Of course, a dream is only a dream when it doesn't come true
