Get Away
I drive soundlessly fast, longing for adrenaline to kick inCranking up the rock mix that angers my misery
To feel the bass drum through my ears
To beat my mind quiet
I drive fast like a runaway tornado
As the road passes me by as if on a blues cruise
The horizon is never close enough
To lose myself
To let go of this delusional suffocation
My loss oozes through my bruised mind
I'm afraid the damage is already done
I am now a young bird in fright
I choose speed for the blurring of reality
So the timeless emptiness won't funnel through my defenses
At this rate, it's wilence that will cause the accident
Nothing can stop this lonely girl now, bring on the danger
I have no fear as I crash against nothing-ness
A simple star flashes in my eyes
My lips curve into a smile
As I get my wings and fly on a forgotten wind,
Never to be seen or heard again
