Dear Dear Mother
Dear, Dear mother what has been done
To bring such wrath on your daughters and sons?
Your tears they fall until rivers they flow
Down your cheeks with a glistening glow.
Your anger flashes leaving scars where it lands
Massive destruction cupped in your hands.
Your admonishment falls loud and extended
As you convey to us all how you’re offended.
Burning anger, it spews from your veins
Charring all, leaving sooty black stains
Your breath as you exhale holds the force of your ire
Sometimes it’s icy and others like fire
Dear Dear mother why do you rage
And keep us in fear wrapped like a cage?
Have we misused all you provided?
Have we inflicted wounds as your riches divided?
Let us dear mother return to your arms
Let us pay reparation for all of our harms
Let us make right all we’ve done wrong
We know we’ve neglected you for now way too long.
