    Cherish

A gentle kiss, a sweet caress
how I cherish moments like this,
I listen as your heart pounds in your chest
not even close to what I like best,

feeling your arms wrapped around me tight
never in my life has anything felt so right,
    staring deeply into your eyes
both the color of clear spring skies,

watching your lips slowly curve into a smile
making my heart swell and everything worth while,
laying so close its hard to tell
where I end and you begin, a feeling I know so well,

when I'm with you I feel so free
emotions overwhelm me, but I'm so happy,
you've brought back hope to my sore heart
but oh how I miss you whenever we're apart,

I don't know what I did, but I'd do it again
that brought you into my world, and made this happen,
All I can think about is you
the funny things you say, the sweet things you do,

    everything you are, everything indeed
is everything I never knew, would be everything that I need.

I like the part about where it mentions where one person ends and the other begins. strikingly familiar to me.

You write the way I write I mean with such love and passion in your heart. I can feel it in your poem Cherish which was beautifully written and see it in your picture. The passion, love and desire. Wish I could have rated it higher. Definitely about I said a 9. But not everyone knows real and true beauty when you see it. I am inspired to read more of your work. I do not get on as much lately but when I do I will read soem more of your work! Bravo.Very Nice poem!

i'm speechless, this is very sensual

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
