    Anger

    Anger
    surprised the emotions
that do not know the fury
that the others seem to know--
stunned into silence, the familiar agony
does not respond.  The respite is but brief
before chaos sets in to mar the truth
that should be known; but not believed
by the one who first cried it to be true.
    Where did the anger go?

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
