    What's It Like? 8/19/10

I want to know what it's like

    To look into your eyes
To hear you whisper in my ear
To walk with you on the beach
To cuddle on the couch and watch a movie

To have you laying by my side
To have your face be the last thing I see at the end of the day
To be in your arms all night long
To wake up to you saying good morning hun

But for now all I can do
    Is think about these things
Until I can know what it's like

To have you here with me forever

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
