How My Life Began

It was March 23rd
The day I met you
When I gave you my number
Little did I realize
It would be the best thing I would ever do
We talked every night
To early morning light
I wanted to be with you
But you were confused
I told you I loved you
And maybe it was a little too soon
But from the moment that your eyes caught mine
I knew it was true
Finally you gave me a chance
And you feel quickly for me
Then less than a month later
We shared the same key
We spent all day and all night together
And soon without each other
It would be hard to survive
So less than a month later
you asked me to be your bride
Then all of a sudden
An unexpected plan
Soon Ill be holding
A baby in my hands
Im only 18 but my life has just begun
Well have a family in no time
Either a daughter or a son
And to think none of this would of happened
If not for that day
Your mom brought you to work with her
And you stole my heart away

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
