Unbroken heart

So here I sit alone,
while your mind is blown.
I think about you everyday,
but not today.
I will enjoy this day with family
and sit here peacefully.
While you are off in your little world,
I am having fun with my hair curled.
You will not ruin this day for me
because my happiness is the key.


While you are with her,
I hope you think of me.
How you broke my heart
with that dart you hold.
I should have known better
then to let you break my heart.
I guess I have to learn somehow
in this life of mine.


I only have one thing to say,
thank you for this day.
It showed me that I don't need you,
now I am all new.
I can finally start this life I've always wanted,
a life without you in it.
