Poem Commentary

This is true....This is me.....

Deep Dark Secret

This secret has been haunting me for years now. It's the biggest secret that I know, that is mine to keep. No one shared it with me, no one let me know, because this one is all on me. It happened almost 9 years ago and ever since then it has haunted me. It's so big I haven't told anyone, only my best friend and she barely knows everything. I've been searching my whole life for the answer, the answer so I can stop lieing to everyone I love. I know that if they know this huge deep dark secret, they will look at me differently and will never be able to trust me ever again. I've lieing since it happened and telling the truth about something this huge is very difficult. I've thought about telling my parents, but I'm to afraid of what they will think. I've learned my lesson from that secret, but that doesn't change the fact that it happened. Sometimes I'm strong enough because I put a smile on everyday and say I'm fine even thought I'm dieing inside.

some people say that a secret is only a secret when you tell somebody about it. that doesn't mean that if you not tell someone it deoesn't exist, it simply means that it's yours alone, and that can be most painful.

An interesting write, a secret hidden is different than a hidden secret, what you hold is no secret to you and possibly another. What have you learned from the secret you carry? or shall I say you more carry a truth that holds some guilt? In life we learn many things, spilling your guts isn't always the thing to do- but put your burden in the place within you that it can longer cause you harm. You have potential with this write, some reworking, take the parent line out-its not needed for grown-ups? hold secrets too, change the title to draw your reader in, let them figure or guess your problem is a secret and that we all carry one. Love the concept, grow and learn, writing doesn't have to give your age away to be read and enjoyed by many. Be well k

Everyone has that one secret... I know I do. I guess this biggest thing to remember is that, when you tell that secret (to your parents, or just a best friend), is that they will love you, always... Remember that. ~Audrey

Having a secret kind of sucks doesn't it?...Thanks, its just hard sometimes when I start to overthink to remember that...

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
