to buy a boat

Poem Commentary

5,000 miles of deception

to buy a boat

Across the country to buy a boat once upon a dream .

I saw things I’ll never forget despite my hidden screams.

Flocks of Cranes soaring above the stubble of my mind.

Mountains a mile high scar the road that we must climb.

Snow hinders the way slushy slow travel.

Painted lines obscured with ice the sides dotted with gravel.

This long life changing ride into the unknown.

Puts love and all its questions to be judged all on their own.

Horizons I’ll never see again proud to share them with my future.

Answers that were always hidden surface with out nurture.

Time erodes time Life is Life.

I was always wrong nothing was ever right.

I like the poem but not sure the title fits the poem. There seems to be several poems in one here, was a little confused.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
