As she lays sleeping
I watch in awe as she lays sleeping
the beauty she beholds leaves strong men weeping
weeping not from sorrow not from pain.
But for the promise of tomorrow for the
wind the sun and the rain.
Tomorrow's rain might feed a stream .
Tomorrow's sun will light a dream.
But the promise of tomorrow sleeps.
In the minds of men in their dreams so deep.
Tomorrow's the beauty we never can hold.
It slips thru our fingers it make us all old.
I watch in awe as she lays sleeping.
And wonder if its all worth keeping.
Lost are the days that pass us by.
Gone are the ways in the blink of an eye.
Time runs on, no use trying to stop it.
Love someone now, tomorrow might not fit.
Young at heart is a total copout.
In the mind is where you'll find doubt.
Question what's normal what's expected what's sane.
Hear Her laughter in the wind see her shape in the Rain.
I watch in awe as she lays sleeping.
and nighttime pulls the day away.
My heart is hers and hers for keeping.
I love Her more than words can say
