Time
Time is all I have to give you
Don’t waste your time
Giving me some BS excuse
I know the road you take
The person you chose as your mate
The baby you didn’t mean to make
Dear diary, he hurt me again today
I don’t have to write that anymore
Because he’s out of my way
To a better life
A better man
A better dream
A better plan
A better chance
A better goal
No need to take the wrong roads
I’ve learned from what time has shown
For I know what the future holds
A brighter day
A better way
A new love
No more mistakes
But a new kind of intake
Of love
From another man
Maybe his will be able to withstand
Against anything
That this complicated relationship may bring
Someone who knows how to dream
One who uses their imagination
Takes the time out to show love and is patient
When we’re together we make the perfect shape
And it’s sort of hard to explain exactly what I want
Because I don’t want just something plain and simple
I want something brown skinned with dimples
But then again he shouldn’t be perfect
I need to know that he’s a least a little human
So give him a few pimples
So I’m leaving the old
And starting a new
So whatever boy happens to read this
What about you?
