The Light

The Light

We followed the Light on a wildeness trail
And with the cloud we just knew without fail
To follow the Light wherever it leads
Jehovah said that He would be there
Just follow the Light

We followed the Light to bethlehem town
We left our flocks and then we all ran down
To follow the Light up hills and around
The angel said that we would find Him
Just follow the Light

We followed the Light as He called our names
He changed the world and now nothing's the same
Cause we followed the Light on to the tree
Blood shed for you shed for me
See He's the Light

We followed the Light to a church down the street
Gave Him our hearts He gave us what we needed
To follow the Light till we were complete
The promise of ages is in Him
Just follow the Light

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
