Take Your Place In The World
There comes a time in every mans' lifeWhen he looks back at all he's done
Counts all the chances and ponders the passes
Sees the truth he's lost and won
While underneath that manly exterior's
A boy who understands
What it means when you have to grow up
And take your place in the world as a man
What does it take prob'ly close to thirty years
To realize the adult inside
Often not seeing sometimes not believing
Take your soul along for the ride
And when the light of understanding's the brightest
It's the boy who understands
What it means when you have to grow up
And take your place in the world as a man
Sometimes confusing or simply refusing
To see the differences 'tween sex and love
There's men who take like children who can't wait
Or be responsible enough to judge
They make their choices while doors open and close
To a boy who understands
What it means when you finally grow up
And take your place in the world as a man
