The first face
The first face I saw was hersShe held me my little hands
She'd sing the songs
Grandma sang to her
Bringing comfort to my soul
She made me feel
I was the best
No unearthly scorn could inter her nest
She'd Hold my hand when
When the big bus came
My first day of school
Between the sheets hug on the line
She smile watching me play
Leaves piled all in a heap
Raked high just for me
Making sure I was safe
She'd make good things for me to eat
Showered me with her love
When night fell she tuck me in
Kiss my little cheeks
It is now my hands
That tuck her in
I kiss her little cheeks
For it was her love that showed me how
To comfort her soul
When night falls
I'll sing her songs
That moma sang to me
When Jesus comes I want her to know
How much I love her so
I'll be there like she was for me
My face she will see
