    TEAR STAINED EYES

Her eyes are pretty as can be
but they tell a story not many want to see
out in public she wears a mask
to hide her tear stained eyes
that she cries behind closed doors
she has lived her life in fear
of wondering if he was going to come near
he hurt her bad not only physical but mentally too
with something no one should have to go through
that started her tear stained eyes

she wondered who would take care of her
because her mom was never there
always on drugs and drinking, did she care
that just added to the tear stained eyes

she wondered what she had done so that her uncle was her only friend
the tear stained eyes will never end

words were said and could not be taken back
it was too late the damage had been done
he walked out the door and he was never to be seen again
the cops came and told me he was gone
the tear stained eyes started again

she only tries to make friends and again her heart gets broken over and over again
I WISH THESE TEAR STAINED EYES WOULD ALREADY END

Heartbreak is everywhere and so many stained souls we grasp for a life rope however we do get tired, keep up the fight. good poem---M

To have great poets there must be great audiences too.
