Smiling Jack
Hey do you know smiling JackThat old man on your street corner
He waves to you everyday
Do you wave back
I wonder if he knows
That we overlook him
Think he's just another homeless fool
Does he even care
I wish I were as happy as he
Caught up in my own world
Wonder what his secret is
Could it be that life is short
We need to live everyday
Like it's our last
Hey smiling Jack teach me sir
How to smile amidst all this grief
Show how to steal some happiness
Just like a thief in the darkest night
I toss you some change
Though I don't know why
Maybe its so I can smile
Like you, and share a grin
Thank you my friend
So the next time you see him
Try this style, wave happily
And give him your smile
I guaranty your day will go better
If just for a little while...........
