FOR WHAT ITS WORTH
For what its worth, I can no longer see through your eyes.
This dusty sun glared life you find appealing has withered.
Winter chill has taken hold, every step soon faltering.
Sensible thought unaccustomed to the unwilling.
Reverent, ever timid, I followed led on by blindness.
For what its worth, I can no longer hold you in regard.
The lack luster mumbling of a failed command.
You scream, stifled orders fall dead, unheard.
Misery soothes, each painful whispering, without warmth.
Stillness, a moment of silence, thunders across the mind.
For what its worth, I relish these demands ill taken.
Fated to burn your unwise, un felt, un life.
Herald such freedom, so glorious, so unknown.
An abhorrent darkness grasps your throat.
Seething anger finds no voice.
For what its worth, I chose my own choice.
Never looking past your confined sanctity.
Or upon the dull gilded cage built from shadows.
Entrapping my solitude, bound by invisible ropes.
Release my bindings, lift my tired soul.

Entrapping my solitude, bound by invisible ropes.
Release my bindings, lift my tired soul.
