Is It Me
I must be crazy or maybe idiot is branded across my forehead.
In your ignorance you believe I enjoy being taken for a fool.
Those few that fancy themselves intelligent underestimate my ability to be a prolific enemy.
Unspeakable wrath has taken lesser people down completely unaware.
Shocked that vengeance has surrounded them leaving no where to run.
Is it me or am I crazy thinking forced captivity could change an unfeeling heart.
Expecting fear to clear a muddled mind.
Undeserved threats and thoughtless lies have weakened my soul.
Turned this loving heart ever so cold.
Running scared from fatherhood, blinded by the thought of a life so settled nearly cost you this happy home.
Is it me that believes the rumors and insignificant mutterings of those jealous cretins.
Whose biggest desire in life is to cause ruin and strife to our happiness.
Worst of all you allowed their senseless noise to remove you from my side and nearly from my heart.
Even through the endless clutter I call my life.
I have yet to find one of your immature actions unforgivable.
Not even the fact that my dreams of family life with a pampering partner being shattered has changed my love for you......
