Sleepless Night

Poem Commentary

I love to sleep, yet I never quite can.

Sleepless Night

A night without sleep
Is what I have had

Do you see the shakes,
The tears in me

A night without sleep
Is a night without me

I do hear the sound
Of the moon spirit
And it calls to us all
To sleep for the night
Yet I did not

The tears in my eyes
When i cry for the night
To have sleep like no other
For there is none for me

A turn all about
In a bed that is mine
Only to find
A sleepless night

A night without sleep
Is a day of exhaustion
That I do not like

I will not leave my bed
Until i am asleep
For I do need rest

Waiting and waiting
Turning and turning
Only to sleep for a minute

Once I do wake
From a night little sleep
My body is worse
Than it would without any
And I am tortured for the day

I like this poem the best =3 you seem a little too tired though

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
