    Days and Nights

    The days are bright
    The nights are dark

    With the light of joy
    Planets will grow
    With the black of despair
    Stars will cry

    A life of thus
    Is a life without equality

    The days are bright
    The nights are dark

    With the light of happiness
    Children will sing
    With the black of pain
    Homes will fall

    A way to be free
    A way to be captive

    Days have people
    Nights have animals

    Humans love days
    Animals love nights

    Together
    And separate
    Forever
    Until the end

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
